Wisdom. Integrity. Truth.
Prajna started as an architecture firm, “Prajna Woodwerks”. There were four young architects in the 1980’s in Lexington, KY in the USA that were ahead of their time. They recognized that designing and constructing buildings with sustainable materials was not only both wise, and good business. They also saw truth and fulfillment in that work. They wanted to both create their designs and build them themselves. The company has become a larger family over the years and has left a lasting mark on many architects and artists as well as their local community.
John Yadack was one of the original group of four. He died in a car accident in 1991. The company evolved into Prajna Design & Construction and continues to stand for architecture and building methods that strive for wisdom, function and beauty. John’s influence was remembered by the group in some projects.
